Inray Oy’s Sponsored Orienteer Opens Autumn Season in Merikarvia

Inray Oy’s sponsored orienteer has spent a busy summer competing in various events. The Jukola Relay went smoothly in terms of organisation, earning plenty of positive feedback from participants. Over the summer, he took part in the Kainuu Orienteering Week in the challenging terrains of Vuokatinvaara, finishing 10th overall, and in the Fin5 Orienteering Week in the Kuopio area.

LaplandOWeek in Levi brought consistent performances and a second place overall, just behind Estonian national team orienteer Timo Sild. International experience was also gained at the Sprint European Championship qualification races in Belgium, where a place at the championships narrowly escaped him.

The autumn season kicked off today with the Finnish Knockout Sprint Championships in Merikarvia, where he reached the heats for the first time. His competition ended in the quarter-finals after a tight finish sprint for the last semi-final spot.

Next up are the Pre-Jukola in Kotka next week and the Finnish Long Distance Championships in Kangasala at the beginning of September.
